Aleathia Drehmer has been a writer of both poetry and fiction for thirty-eight years. She has been published in the small press, both online and in print, since 2006, and has participated in poetry readings across the country. Currently, she is working on two novels while being a full time Registered Nurse in the community. Throughout high school, she was involved in theatre in both cast and crew capacities for all her academic years as well as being part of a summer theatre group. In recent history, she has helped with costumes for several of the local middle school plays including The Music Man and Lion King Jr. Aleathia is connected to this project through Stephanie Manning with whom she has worked alongside as a nurse. Stephanie’s love of theatre and community had reignited this passion in Aleathia over the years. It has been a lifelong dream to be a part of a community project like this one. She hopes to create many writing programs for the youth in the area to give them a chance to use their voices and to share everything she has learned in her fifteen years of publishing.
